Baby steps to victory. (Over coming feeding issues).

We are still waiting for an actual diagnosis for W which means we still don’t have access to therapy.

This means we do whatever might work to help W get over the fear of a “new” food. Even though sometimes that “new” food is a previously loved food that he randomly gave up. He’s given up a lot of foods this year.

This morning W decided he wanted the jar of Nutella. It was almost empty so I let him have it.

After 3 hours of just smelling it and touching it we got to this point. I’m not sure if any got into his mouth but it’s progress.

I've been through a lot in my life and I've realized that sharing my story helps me to deal with things. ~ so I have started this partially to help myself deal with the various emotions as they arise but also to help others who may be going through the same thing. This is our story of living with autism. this story actually started before W was diagnosed.
